The Lions Club of Morigaon, in collaboration with Ghana Kanta Baruah College and the Assam Cancer Care Foundation, successfully organized a Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp on 25 September 2025 at GKB College, Morigaon. The program was further supported by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Morigaon.

The camp commenced at 12:00 noon and concluded at 3:00 p.m. A total of 190 participants, including college teachers, students, and members of the organizing committee, benefited from the awareness and screening activities.

During the camp, 30 adult participants underwent screenings for oral cancer, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. Awareness sessions on early detection, preventive measures, and healthy lifestyle practices were also conducted, ensuring that attendees gained valuable information about cancer prevention and care.

The event received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from the community, reflecting the collective effort of all partner organizations in promoting public health and early cancer detection.
