The Lions Club Morigaon under Dist. 322-G successfully organized an educational support programme titled “Study Kit Distribution Programme” on 27th April 2026 at Singimari M.E. School, a school adopted by the club. The programme was organized with the noble objective of extending educational assistance to economically poor students and encouraging them towards a brighter academic future.

A total of 48 economically underprivileged students of the school benefited from the programme. Various educational materials including notebooks, drawing books, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colors, brushes, and other essential stationery items were distributed among the students. The children received the materials with great joy and enthusiasm, which created a cheerful and inspiring atmosphere in the school premises.

Altogether 16 lion members actively participated in the programme and contributed wholeheartedly towards the successful implementation of the event. The members interacted with the students and motivated them to continue their studies with sincerity and determination despite financial hardships.

Education is one of the most powerful tools for social transformation and nation-building. However, many children from economically weaker sections are deprived of basic educational necessities due to poverty. Programmes like “Wings of Learning Programme” play a significant role in supporting such students and ensuring that lack of resources does not become a barrier to learning. The initiative also reflected the commitment of the Lions Club towards community service, child welfare, and educational development.

The teachers and local people highly appreciated the efforts of the club for taking such a meaningful initiative. The programme concluded successfully with a message of compassion, service, and collective responsibility towards the upliftment of underprivileged children through education.
